What to include
Account access
Include the account email and exact error. Never send your password.
Claim or calculation
Include the load number, claim ID, selected times, free time, rate, increment, and rounding.
Evidence or packet
Include the claim ID, file type, and whether the issue happened during upload, generation, download, or email delivery.
Billing
Include the Stripe receipt or Checkout Session reference. Never send a full card number or security code.

What is DetentionDesk?
DetentionDesk helps trucking businesses track wait time, calculate estimated detention, attach Supporting Evidence, build Claim Packets, manage Follow-Up, and monitor Outstanding Detention.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. Enter arrival and departure or a known total wait, then review free time, billable time, rounding, and the estimated amount without creating an account.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You can use the calculator for free or purchase one claim packet for $25. Monthly access is available for ongoing detention management.
Can I purchase just one claim?
Yes. The $25 single-packet option covers one claim and does not renew automatically.
How does the detention timer work?
Tap I Arrived and enter the applicable billing terms. The timer persists, shows free time remaining and the estimate, and I Departed carries the recorded times into the claim.
Can I edit my arrival or departure time?
Yes. Review and correct the recorded times before finalizing the claim. A one-time packet claim becomes locked when its first PDF is generated; active monthly access allows claim editing and regeneration during the paid period.
Does the timer use GPS?
No. The current timer records user-confirmed arrival and departure times. It does not provide GPS, geofencing, ELD, certified timestamp, or automatic facility verification.
Can I upload supporting evidence?
Yes. A signed-in claim can store private PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, and HEIF files up to 15 MB each. DetentionDesk organizes but does not verify or certify them.
Can I record a partial payment?
Yes. Enter the amount received. The claim remains partially paid and the outstanding balance decreases until the full claimed amount is recorded.
Does DetentionDesk collect payment?
No. DetentionDesk tracks user-entered claim and payment status. It does not collect funds, connect to a bank account, or act as a collections agency.
Does DetentionDesk guarantee payment?
No. DetentionDesk helps organize and manage detention information and claims. Whether detention is owed or paid depends on the applicable agreement and circumstances.
